The Presentation

Owner Rehab to All Electric and Energy Efficient Home
Presented by Stephen Melton

Presenter Stephen Melton decided to tackle a major home rehab, saying, “I decided to make my home, built in 2017, into an all-electric home to greatly reduce my carbon footprint and to test, first hand, the feasibility of a heat pump in his climate zone. The work was done in the spring of 2022. It included a new air-exchange heat pump, electric water heater, air exchanger, improved insulation, air infiltration sealing, and additional wiring to accommodate car charging. My next step is to buy an electric vehicle.”
